Intuitive Subdomains

Why is there no blog.trustroots.org but an ideas.trustroots.org?
Same for meta.trustrotos.org instead of forum.trustroots.org or sth. like it…

Sure, not many people go by URLs nowadays but I guess people have it easier to navigate.

Also, should I use this forum or Github for topics like that?

Because me, Callum and Kasper liked those names better when we were working on setting them up.

Meta is precisely that — an area for volunteers and other interested folks to discuss about Trustroots, not a member-facing “forum of the Trustroots” per-se.

For your convenience, I just added redirects so that you never get lost anymore.

Also, should I use this forum or Github for topics like that?

Thanks for asking! This forum is better for this specific topic for example.
GitHub is where the technical & design work happens so it’s not a really ideal place e.g. for open-ended conversations and such. Let’s give volunteers peace to get work done there.

Bugs and reports of issues with flows can go to Github as well.

Hope this answered your questions.

Personally i really like the url: meta.trustrotos.org. Especially that the subdomain conveys meaning and purpose more precises than ‘forum’ would…
